As Red Bee shrimp have been intensively artificially selected and inbred, they are very sensitive. This means that in order to keep them alive and breed you must provide the absolute optimum water parameters.
After researching other successful breeders’ water parameters, I have decided to aim for about the following:
My current parameters:
KH – <1
dGH – 2
pH – 5,5
To adjust the dGH and pH values I must consider not only how to manipulate them without causing the KH to shift, but also how to make it a permanent/stable change.
